GMS:Quick Tour - Site Stratigraphy
From XMS Wiki - http://wikis.aquaveo.com/xms/
GMS contains several tools which can be used to define the stratigraphy of your site. Boreholes, Solids, and Scatter Point data all can be used to define layer elevations for ground water models. All of these tools allow you represent the site stratigraphy independently from the model grid or mesh.
Once a grid or mesh is created the elevations can automatically be mapped from solids or interpolated from scatter points.
