The properties of all GIS data that GMS displays on the screen can be controlled through the Shapefiles tab of the Display Options dialog. This dialog is opened by right-clicking on the GIS Data GIS Folder.svg entry in the Project Explorer and selecting the Display Options command. It can also be accessed from the from the Display menu or the Display Options Display Options Macro.svg macro. The following table describes the display options available for the GIS module.

Display Option Description
Points Controls the display of points in shapefiles in the Graphics Window. The size and color of the points can be adjusted using the button to the right of the Points option.
Lines Controls the display of lines in shapefiles in the Graphics Window. The line type, width, and color can be adjusted using the button to the right of the Lines option.
Polygons Controls the display of polygons in shapefiles in the Graphics Window. The polygon line type, width, and color can be adjusted using the button to the right of the Polygons option.
Selection color Controls the selection color used when GIS shapefile objects are selected in the Graphics Window.
