To import, adjust, or save Images in GMS, use the following steps:
1. Import images.

Images are imported into the GIS module in GMS.
1. Open local images.

- Load images from local computer files using the File | Open... command.
- Alternatively, drag and drop the file into the Graphics Window in GMS.

2. Add images properties.

3. Adjust images.

1. Adjust image transparency.
|
- Right-click on the image object in the Project Explorer and select the Transparency command.
- Using the Layer Transparency dialog, set the transparency for the image.

2. Smooth a raster image.
|
- Right-click on the image object in the Project Explorer and select the Convert To | Smoothed Raster command.
- Use the Raster Smoothing Options dialog to specify how the raster image data values should be smoothed.
- Save the new smoothed raster file.

5. Merge mulitple images.

- Select two or more image items in the Project Explorer by holding down the Shift key while selecting each item.
- Right-click on one of the selected objects and select Convert To | Merged Raster.
- Save a file with the merged data.

4. Save or export image data.
|
1. Save image displayed in Graphics Window.
|
- Select File | Save As.
- Save the project as an image type (BMP, JPEG, TIFF, etc...).

2. Copy image displayed in Graphics Window to clipboard.
|
- Select Edit | Copy to Clipboard.
- Paste the image into another program (Microsoft Word, Photoshop, Paint, etc...).

3. Export a resampled raster file.
|
- Right-click on the image object and select the Export command.
- Set exporting preferences in the Resample and Export Raster dialog.
- Save the image file.
