GMS:Lidar Data Workflow

To import and filter lidar data into GMS, do the following:

1. Import lidar data.
Use the File \| Open... command to import one or more lidar data files. Alternatively, drag and drop the file into the Graphics Window in GMS.

2. Filter lidar data.
In the Project Explorer, right-click on the lidar file and select Display Options Use the Lidar Display Options dialog to filter data to be displayed.

3. Export lidar data.
In the Project Explorer, right-click on the lidar file and select Export. Use the Lidar File dialog to save out the lidar data. Note: Any data that has been filtered from the display will not be included in the saved file.

4. Convert lidar data.
In the Project Explorer, right-click on the lidar file and select Convert \| 2D Scatter.
