Map Solids

The Map Solids tool allows taking solids data and mapping it to an existing unstructured grid (UGrid).

Input Parameters

  • Input grid – Select an UGrid in the project.
  • Mapping algorithm – Select the algorithm to used during the mapping process.
    • "Centroid" – Map the solid data to the center of the grid cells.
    • "Predominant material: – Map the solid data to the grid based on the predominant material values.
  • Solid file – Clicking the Select File button brings up file browser where the data file containing the solids data can be selected.
  • Default material id – Defines a default material id for areas in the grid where the material id is not defined for that area in the solids.

Output Parameters

  • Name of the output dataset – Enter a name for new dataset generated from the solids.
