1. Begin with an existing MODFLOW project.
The existing model can be created using the conceptual model or grid based approach.

2. Change the simulation to use MODFLOW-LGR.
Select MODFLOW \| Global Options. In the MODFLOW Global/Basic Package dialog, select the LGR radio button.

3. Run MODFLOW-LGR.
Save the project. Run MODFLOW .

4. Create a child grid.
Use the Select Cells tool to drag a box in the child grid area. Right-click in the selected area and select Create Child Grid…. Enter child grid parameters in the Create Child Grid dialog.

5. Define MODFLOW-LGR options.
Select MODFLOW \| Global Options. In the MODFLOW Global/Basic Package dialog, select the LGR Options button. Set parameters in the LGR Options dialog.
