Template:GMS 2D Interpolation Workflow

Expand1. Import scatter point set.
Use File | Open... to open files with scatter data. Alternatively, drag and drop the file into the Graphics Window in GMS. Use the File Import Wizard to specify how to import the data.

Expand2. Set interpolation options
Select the Interpolation | Interpolation Options menu command. In the 2D Interpolation Options dialog select the interpolation method and options. 2D interpolation methods include the following: Linear Inverse distance weighted Clough-Tocher Natural neighbor Kriging

Expand3. Interpolate scatter point set to a 2D object.

Expand1. Interpolate to a 2D grid. Select the Interplation | Interpolate→2D Grid menu command. Set the dataset name and review interpolation options in the Interpolate→Object dialog. Expand2. Interpolate to a 2D UGrid. Select the target 2D UGrid in the Project Explorer to make it active. Select the Interplation | Interpolate→UGrid menu command. Set the dataset name and review interpolation options in the Interpolate→Object dialog. Expand3. Interpolate to a 2D mesh. Select the Interplation | Interpolate→2D Mesh menu command. Set the dataset name and review interpolation options in the Interpolate→Object dialog. Expand4. Interpolate to a TIN. Select the target TIN in the Project Explorer to make it active. Select the Interplation | Interpolate→Active TIN menu command. Set the dataset name and review interpolation options in the Interpolate→Object dialog.
