To import Images into SMS, use the following steps:

1. Import images.
  1. Load images from local computer files using the Open command.
  2. Download web images.
  3. Download online maps for dynamic images.
  4. Generate image pyramids if needed.
2. Adjust images.
  1. Register images.
  2. Set projections.
  3. Complete any of the following as needed:
    1. Adjust transparency.
    2. Smooth
    3. Trim
    4. Resample
    5. Merge mulitple images.
3. Convert images.
  1. Convert to a feature objects, grid module, or scatter module.
  2. Interpolate raster images to an existing map coverage, grid, or scatter set.
  3. Export images if needed.
  4. Save image if alteration were made in SMS.
