The following is a start at a list of the more significant changes that will be introduced in GMS 8.4.

  1. MODFLOW Gage package
    • Full support for the MODFLOW gage package.
  2. PEST null space Monte Carlo
    • Push-of-a-button support for PEST null space Monte Carlo makes calibration faster and easier.
  3. Measure tool
    • The static tool palette gets a new tool for quickly and easily measuring distances.
  4. Selected items
    • Locate Selections: This new commmand in the Edit menu causes an animated rectangle to zoom in around whatever is currently selected.
    • Zoom To Selections: This new commmand in the Display menu causes the screen to be framed around whatever is currently selected.
  5. "Streamflow Out" of each reach in separate CCF file
    • The ISTCB2 flag in the SFR package allows for streamflow out of each reach to be saved. This data was moved to a separate compact budget file so that it doesn't get included with the flow budget since it doesn't affect the aquifer.
