To import and filter lidar data into GMS, do the following:

1. Import lidar data.
  1. Use the File | Open... command to import one or more lidar data files.
  2. Alternatively, drag and drop the file into the Graphics Window in GMS.
2. Filter lidar data.
  1. In the Project Explorer, right-click on the lidar file and select Display Options
  2. Use the Lidar Display Options dialog to filter data to be displayed.
3. Export lidar data.
  1. In the Project Explorer, right-click on the lidar file and select Export.
  2. Use the Lidar File dialog to save out the lidar data.
    • Note: Any data that has been filtered from the display will not be included in the saved file.
4. Convert lidar data.
  1. In the Project Explorer, right-click on the lidar file and select Convert | 2D Scatter.
